Waitangi
On Tuesday the year 4's went to Waitangi and did some unplugged and Scratch coding activities. My favourite was the unplugged activity where we had to code a counter around a grid to collect cards for points.
Here is a photo of me joining in with the activity.

Speech Writing
We have been learning how to write speeches. I wrote my speech on TV.
How much time do you spend watching tv? TV is something you watch that
shows movies and programmes, such as the news. I only watch tv for half an
hour a day. I believe too much TV is bad for you and here are my reasons why.
Firstly too much TV is bad for your eyes. Staring at a screen for a long time will
give you sore, dry eyes and if you don’t blink much you could get a headache. If
you spend too much time close to the TV, it might mean you will need glasses.
Secondly some of the programmes are not suitable for children because there is
some violence and inappropriate things like dangerous stunts or tricks. You think
you can do the tricks that they do, but you could hurt yourself.
Finally, TV makes entertaining and interesting stuff so you keep watching and
stops you from going outside to play. TV is good for entertainment but we need
to remember to get outside to get fresh air and exercise through playing outdoors.
Yes, TV can be entertaining and you can learn things on certain programs but
don’t watch it too much.

Title: Moon Rover Lander Label: Scienc
For science we made a Moon rover lander using only a paper cup, paper, cellotape and straws. We were given the task of making our Moon rover land softly onto our Moon landscape so that our marsh-mellow astronauts did not fly out.
The materials I used for my Moon paper cella tape straws cappapercc cella tape straws cap rover is …..
What I like best about my Moon rover is everything. Most importantly that it landed without losing my marsh-mellow astronaut.
What I needed to modify on my Moon lander rover was nothing. It was all good!
One thing I learned about landing on the Moon was that you don't need a flat surface to land on the Moon. What you do need is a Moon lander that has springs on the bottom.
Here is a picture of my Moon rover landing on our school’s Moon surface. I hope you like it!

environmental writing
We sketched our bean plants that we grew in class. We then wrote words around the outside to describe the bean plant. We had to use these words to write a piece of descriptive writing. We then cut out our picture and glued it on to your writing. Here is my writing.

We have been learning how to sketch our facial features. We needed to put
them in the right place on our face. For our background we typed our full name

Activity 2: Fabulous Ferns
Activity 1: Giants Among Us
Yes I would like to go to Tane Mahuta again, I have visited 3 times already but I would go back again. I would go back again to see if he has grown bigger. And to see if he has grown branches down low.
Activity 2: North and South
I live in a town called Kaikohe. There is heaps of places to buy stuff, I like the dairies and the warehouse. At Kaikohe at Halloween there is a place called Pioneer Village where you can go trick or treating. They have heaps of old buildings and a train and you get lollies for free. My favourite place is the skate park we ride on our scooters and we bring our basketball and play.
Activity 3: Ice, Ice Baby
To stay safe online you should not give your password to anybody, the teachers said to make a little pamplet to keep our passwords in and no one is allowed to look at it. You need to be careful with putting information about yourself online. If I see anything wrong tell an adult.
